I am Florencia Gysbertha and a psychology graduate (BSc(Hons) Psych., MSc
Health Psych.), an aspiring chartered psychologist and author. This blog is very personal to me as I will it will consist of a personal and professional journey of increasing my self-awareness, learn to love myself a bit more and share my experiences and ideas with the world.
Alongside my personal journey I’m aiming to raise mental health awareness and promote psychological theories which can be applied to everyday life in an effort to encourage a healthier mindset, lifestyle and support overall well-being.
As the mind and body are intertwined, Honour My Mystique aims to celebrate women of all colours and sizes and highlight our uniqueness. I know what it is like not to feel good about oneself and the body I’m in which is one of the reasons why I think we as women should stick together and lift each other up!
Overall, Honour My Mystique’s core is being authentic and making a CONSCIOUS choice to genuinely listen to ourselves, embrace our flaws, unapologetic and to be REAL. I will be sharing personal stories about being a second generation migrant girl of Ghanaian descent born in a western society, my personal struggles with mental health, discussing applied psychology and what inspires and motivates me in everyday life.
I am not here to tell you how you should live your life. I am simply sharing mine and hope that it will empower or inspire some of you :).
So welcome to my blog! I hope you’ll enjoy it.
Feel free to reach out to me with any questions or ideas.
